German Potato Noodles

Serves: 4
Ready In: 1 hour
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 40 minutes


leftover mashed potatoes
egg, beaten
oil or butter



  1. Mix all ingredients to form dough
  2. Roll on a floured surface
  3. Cut int 1/4″ x 1″ strips with a bread knife
  4. Heat oil or butter in fry pan: should be 1/2″ deep
  5. Fry noodles. Place on paper towel when they’re done
  6. Eat with ketchup or dipping sauce

My mom used to make this recipe when she had leftover potatoes to use up. It's a heavy, greasy recipe, but definitely a taste of my childhood!
