Candied Yams

Serves: 4-6

Cook Time: 55 minutes


large yams
brown sugar
miniature marshmallows
white sugar



  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C)
  2. Peel yams and cut into 2 inch discs. Place in large pot
  3. Cover yams with water. Add salt and white sugar
  4. Boil for 30 minutes, or until tender. Drain
  5. Mash or whip yams, and put in baking dish
  6. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Dot with butter
  7. Bake for 20 minutes
  8. Sprinkle with marshmallows. Bake until marshmallows are golden brown
