Creamy Proscuitto Pasta Sauce

chives, chopped
medium mushrooms, sliced
whipping cream
grated parmesan
lemon zest
instant coffee
brown sugar
proscuitto ham



  1. Fry butter, chives, garlic and mushrooms until mushrooms are tender
  2. Add remaining ingredients
  3. Simmer on medium-low heat 10 minutes, or until it starts to thicken
  4. Cover and set aside 10 minutes
  5. Serve over pasta, or try it on spaghetti-squash for a no-carb option (pictured).

Inspired by Chianti's "Fettucine Chianti" sauce, my sister and I dreamed up this creamy treat one cool summer evening several years ago. It's still one of my favorites, with a great salty/creamy flavor.
