Chocolate Fudge

ingredients evaporated milk
butter
sugar
salt
marshmallow cream
chocolate chips
vanilla
instructions
  1. Line the bottom and sides of an 9x9x2 pan with aluminum foil. Set aside
  2. Pour evaporated milk, butter, sugar, salt, and marshmallow cream into a heavy 3 quart saucepan
  3. Place over medium heat. Stir constantly with wooden spoon until mixture boils
  4. Lower heat and boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly
  5. Remove saucepan from heat
  6. Add chocolate chips, stirring until smooth
  7. Stir in vanilla extract
  8. Immediately pour into prepared pan and smooth the top
  9. Let stand at room temperature until cool
  10. Carefully remove fudge by lifting foil edges
  11. Cut the fudge into pieces with long sharp knife
  12. Store in fridge for several days or freeze, well wrapped, for several months
