Cookie Log
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C)
- Cream butter. Gradually add sugar, creaming well
- Blend in egg, vanilla, and flavoring
- Sift together 3 cups flour and 1 tablespoon nutmeg
- Add flour and nutmeg, mix well
- Shape pieces of dough on lightly floured surface into long rolls, 1/2 inch in diameter. Cut in 3-inch lengths
- Place on ungreased baking sheets
- Bake for 10-12 minutes. Cool completely, then frost
Frosting
- Cream butter, vanilla, and flavoring
- Add 1/2 cup icing sugar , beating well
- Add 1 cup icing sugar, 1 tbsp milk. Mix well
- Add 1 cup icing sugar, 1 tbsp milk
- Beat well until icing is spreading consistency. Add 1 tbsp more milk if needed
