Ginger Snaps

3/4 cup
butter, softened
1 cup
white sugar
1
egg, beaten
1/4 cup
molasses
2 1/2 cups
flour
2 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
ground cloves
1 tsp
cinnamon
2 tsp
ginger
Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C)
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and molasses, and mix well
Add remaining ingredients. Mix. Dough should not be too sticky. Add more flour if needed
Roll the dough into 1" balls, and roll them through sugar on a plate to cover
Place on greased cookie sheet
Bake for 11 minutes, or until top of cookies crack. Cool
